The free trial lesson: what to expect

The short answer: you meet your instructor, you get picked up wherever you are, you drive part of the route yourself in a manual or automatic car, and at the end you get an honest estimate of how many driving lessons you'll probably need. After that, you decide whether and when to start — the trial lesson is free and carries no obligation whatsoever.

We pick you up where you are

You don't have to travel to an office first. We pick you up at home, at school or at work, so the lesson can start right where your day happens. A useful side effect: you immediately see what it's like to drive in your own surroundings — the very roads you'll be using yourself later on.

You drive yourself — manual or automatic

The trial lesson is not a guided tour: you sit behind the wheel. Let us know your preference when you sign up and drive the manual or the automatic. If you prefer an automatic, we build your training around it. Do bear in mind that taking your exam in an automatic gives you a licence with code 78, which lets you drive automatics only; taking your exam in the manual lets you drive all passenger cars, automatic and manual alike.

An honest estimate of your lesson count

At the end of the lesson we tell you honestly what we saw: where you're already strong and what still needs practice. On that basis you get a realistic estimate of your lesson count and the package that fits. No sales pitch — a learner who buys too few or far too many lessons won't be happy afterwards. If things turn out differently later, we simply discuss it and adjust.

Afterwards: no obligations

The trial lesson ends with advice, not with a contract. Take your time to think it over, feel free to compare with another driving school and sign up whenever it suits you. There's no follow-up pressure — it's your training and your timing.
